Privacy policy

Last updated 29 July 2026. Capture Live Caption is local-first. We store only what we need to deliver licenses and support.

The application

Captions, transcripts, target windows, and settings stay on your PC. We do not upload your audio or transcript content.

Redeem and activation

When you redeem, the app sends your purchase code and Machine ID to our redeem API. We store those to bind the license and for support/fraud prevention. Server logs may include IP and timestamps.

Purchases

We collect your email, payment status, term, and purchase code. Payment card/crypto details are processed by Stripe or OxaPay — we do not store full card numbers.

This website

We may collect basic server logs (IP, user agent, pages requested) and support-form submissions (email, issue type, optional purchase code / Machine ID, message).

Retention and sharing

We retain purchase and license records as needed for support and accounting. We do not sell personal data. We share data with payment and email providers only as needed to process orders.
